The Nelson Dance Center was founded by Margaret Nelson, a classically trained dancer who had performed professionally in shows throughout the United States and was a dancer in the Petroff Ballet Company in New York and the Ruth Page Dance Company in Chicago. Our present dance studio was designed by Margaret Nelson and commissoned to an architect and thus became the only private dance school in this area to be designed and constructed from the ground up to embody all of the state of art facilities necessary for quality dance instruction.
